Life doesn't have to be so hard.
Gentle Living is the art and science of
living in harmony with your body
and the environment around you.
Gentle Living is the art and science of
living in harmony with your body
and the environment around you.
I know I'm not the only person out here
living this way.
It's the life you have to live after
you can't "power through" anymore.
At least, this is how I do it.
Maybe you are a single parent,
or you're coping with an injury,
or living with some other circumstance wherein
your environment does not meet your needs.
Maybe you're angry
and you've decided
you want to figure out
how to calm down.
And it's hard.
When you said something,
when you've complained,
you may have heard:
"Life is hard."
Then they just stop
like there's nothing to do
but suffer.
And it's true. Life is full of hard things.
But we have bought into this idea:
"Suffering is part of life."
We are so tired,
it's easier in the moment
to accept our suffering
or to dismiss theirs.
But that is a lie. We do not have to suffer.
Suffering is not a requirement. It is a byproduct.
Eating, sleeping, and being safe are essentials of life.
Suffering is not.
From ancient wisdom to modern medicine to social science,
the answer is clear:
You're amazing just the way you are.
Your body knows what you need.
"That's so nice.
I love your mindset.
It seems like a great theory.
But I have some questions."
I'm glad you have questions.
It's hard to reject suffering.
These questions are just the beginning.
You will have so many more.
Life is full of Hard Things.
You can do Hard Things.
